DRONE GROUP - OVERVIEW

UAV SYSTEM

By agglomerating a variety of state-of-the-art control and sensing technologies, CoCEL is aiming at developing fully autonomous palm-sized drones for industrial and military applications.

 

Until now, fundamental technologies and theoretical foundations have been developed for sensor calibration and fusion, 3D localization and mapping, and AI based UAV control. With these key technologies, CoCEL is now ready to develop fully autonomous palm-sized drones. The current research topics are as follows:

  • UAV system: On-board navigation and flight control algorithms

  • 2D LiDAR sensor: Solid-state 2D LiDAR sensor for Micro Aerial Vehicles (MAVs)

  • ANS solution-Autonomous navigation system for mobile robots

  • AI-based UAV control: Learning-based algorithms for navigation systems
